Armada official conditions:

1. When playing our (Armada) tracks, you (the podcaster) must not play it for over two minutes uninterrupted. Upon the conclusion of two minutes, you (the podcaster) must immediately raise the frequency of the track to 50,000 Hz. This will ensure that no human can hear the track, but the Armada-loving dogs, bats and whales will still be able to have a good time.

2. Dogs, bats and whales and other crustaceans with their own podcasts can still play our (Armada) tracks because we don’t want to anger Poseidon. However you (the nautical/mammal podcaster) must submit for written approval and sign with your paw, wing or flipper. Please note that any member of the Doolittle family is considered a human and therefore must comply with rule one.

3. When playing our (Armada) vocal tracks, you (the podcaster) can play the full track as long as you (the podcaster sing horribly over the top of it and shout ‚Come on‘ and ‚Yes‘ over the breakdown.

4. If you have archived podcasts with our (Armada) tracks in them, you must edit over the top of them with a random moment from a Carry On film. We (Armada) are most fond of Carry On Up The Khyber, Carry On Camping and Carry On Spying. Please do not use Carry On Screaming though – Dash Berlin considers it to be his least favourite and will go on a psychopathic rampage if he sees it again.

5. We (Armada) may revoke your ears if we believe you have heard too many of our (Armada) tracks. Your ears will be sold on eBay and the money will be used to finance yet another reissue of a classic that you’ve all heard to death.

6. We (Armada) will control what you see and here. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength. Armada double plus good.

Před dvěma roky, nebo tak nějak týden před aprílem dalo rádio sunshine-live na svý stránky že končí s taneční hudbou a bude se zabývat hudbou 80tých let. To byl poprask. Opravdu tak prvního dubna vysílali a nakonec to byl apríl 😀

A lot of labels don’t even bother with artwork anymore, because they don’t have anything to print it on to. It’s like the entire dance music scene is at war with itself, rationing out the minuscule amount of money left circulating within it. Desperately releasing as much music as possible regardless of it’s musical integrity or quality in a struggle to scrape some extra pennies in.

It’s a bad time unfortunately, and it’s not really anyone’s fault. No one can blame the labels, or the artists or consumers. We just have to hope that the evolution of digital media mends itself over time.[/quote]

Je to krok typický pro obří labely, které v době internetu a volně přístupné hudby ve snaze zvýšit zisky jdou zpátečnickou cestou restrikcí, místo aby naopak využili možností, které jim tenhle „nový trh“ nabízí. Problém je především v tom, že jejich hudba je takříkajíc na jedno použití a její hlavní cílová skupina (puberťáci v rozvojových a postkomunistických zemích) nemá zájem za ni utrácet peníze.

Docela by mě zajímaly zisky Armady, dá se to někde dohledat? Já tohle vnímám jako takový krok zoufalství poté, co se rozhodli ušetřit na zrušení fyzických formátů (vinyl, cd) a teď zjistili, že jim pořádně nevydělají ani mp3.

Jinak bohužel smutnou zprávou je, že zkrachoval label Platipus, který se loni pokusil o návrat na scénu vydáním dvojalba Art Of Trance a nových Union Jack.

Joe: poslední dobou jsou lidi naučený ničemu co je prohlášený na 1. apríla nevěřit, už pár let zpátky se takový ty větší uvěřitelný apríly dělaj spíš kolem toho data než vyloženě v ten den. Napadá mě třeba údajný předělání Big Bena z ručičkovejch na digitální hodiny, to se myslim dokonce vyhlásilo tři dny před, anebo se o tom aspoň mluvilo. Tenkrát jsem žil v UK a ten rozruch byl neskutečnej :))

no podle meho nazoru tady ale neni problem s tim ze by to nekdo ripoval a umistoval do podcastu. do regulerniho podcastu se umistuji tracky, ktere clovek koupi treba na beatportu/trackitdown.net apod? takze kdyz si to clovek koupi pro ucely hrani, tak i presto to nemuze zaradit do sve radioshow?

jesteze na Armade vychazi skoro same sracky 🙂 (snad se to netyka sub-labelu)

Hehe, to mě nenapadlo, protože v mém okolí jsme se shodli ohledně dnešního dne shodli, že z takových žertíků už jsme vyrostli 🙂

vyjmecne souhlas s kytarou. Co to je za ciparna ? Jak chcou zabranit tolika Djs aby hrali sve tracky ? Co kdyz hromadne budou prchat ? A co youtube a podobne weby ? Naprosta kravina. Warez nikdy nikdo neporazil a ani neeliminoval tak proc by se to melo podarit Armade ?

V tom případě by ale musela zaniknout i jejich výkladní skříň ASOT, protože z toho se ripujou běžně tracky, co teprve vyjdou. A co takový YouTube, kam jsou ty samply postovaný? Vyhlásí Armada válku internetu? Něco takového tu bylo před 10 lety ze strany US hudebního průmyslu. V dnešní době mi něco takového přijde silně krátkozraké.

Dobře, já to beru, ale proč v tom případě s tím má problém i Steve z Thrillseekers, který chtěl v podcastu zařadit svůj nový track, vše má legálně ošetřené, zaplacené co je potřeba a stejně musí podcast dělat znova?

Where is the common sense here?? Chce ozkoušet, co lidi řeknou na jeho nový track, a nesmí… Jáááj… sm6

Doufám, že brzo Armada vydá oficiální prohlášení, zatím to vidím jenom na fórech, kde se to Ruben de Ronde snaží všem vysvětlit a producenti typu Thrillseekers koulí očima. Já chápu zatím jen tu základní myšlenku, piráti jsou všude, vždycky byli a budou, ale jestli je to teda dobrý krok správným směrem, to hodně pochybuju.
